A Roller Skating Dwarf and Andrew Lloyd Webber
I reckon this is the first time a rollerskatin’ dwarf has appeared on this here blog.
My name’s Dixie and I co-own Grumpy’s Diner here in Oyster Bay, North Carolina. Now I know Olivia has gone and told you all about her fancy restaurant and that’s fine and dandy if your wallet’s stuffed full of bills, but if you’re lookin’ for some down-home Southern cookin’ and a lively décor (my place is decorated with posters from all the Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals. I just love his work, don’t you?), then come on in and sit a spell!
I can see that the Evita booth is taken by one of several sun-burned tourists and Olivia always claims the window booth, seein’ as she doesn’t care for Mr. Webber quite as much as I do, but you’re welcome to take a load off right here, in The Phantom of the Opera booth. Shoot, just thinkin’ of the phantom makes me all kinds of hungry and I am not thinkin’ of a cheeseburger right now, ladies. What is it about those masked men, anyway?
Oh, and see that? That’s my newly designed Starlight Express booth. I had to change the whole thing because folks kept complainin’ that they couldn’t focus on their bacon and eggs with our crucified Savior starin’ down at them. I guess they had a point, but Jesus Christ Superstar is still one of the finest musicals ever made.
You say you like musicals, too? Well, come on then. Don’t be shy. Tell me your favorite while I pour you some of my fine coffee and a fetch you a batch of my world famous cinnamon buns.
