I’m all about finding new and exciting ways to advertise Aunt Pat’s BBQ. That restaurant has been in my family for sixty years. And, let’s face it, print advertising isn’t just expensive, it’s not reaching as many folks as it used to.
So when my step-grandson, Derrick, said he thought we could bring in extra business—totally for free, except for the internet connection—with the Twitter, I told him to sign me right up!
I kind of thought Derrick would stick around a little and show me the ropes. I guess kids today are so busy that they don’t have a lot of extra time.
Now I’ve got “followers” which kind of makes me feel like a cult leader or something.
Yesterday, though, for the first time someone mentioned the Twitter special for a barbeque plate discount.
So now I guess I’m stuck doing it for a while.
Do you tweet? Or does Twitter make you feel like a twit, too?
