Morty the cat
Tempest in the Tea Leaves
by Kari Lee Townsend
Phew am I tired. Okay, let me start at the beginning. I'm Morty the cat. I don't talk in the Fortune Teller Mysteries, but only because I choose not to. No one knows what I really am or what I can do.
And I'm not going to tell them.
What fun would it be in spoiling all the fun?
Anyway, I'm pretty proud of our author Kari Lee Townsend. She worked hard in making us all look good, and it paid off. Tempest in the Tea Leaves is up for an Agatha Award for Best First Mystery. It's also up for an RT award for Best Amateur Sleuth of 2011.
I'm sure my author will drag me with her to Malice Domestic when she goes. It's her first Malice, and she is driving me nuts with excitement. She's worse than my housemate, Sunny Meadows. In fact, she even brought me along on her trip to Florida. We just left on friday and drove almost 20 hours with 4 kids and her husband.
I repeat....I am tired!
That crew is a wild bunch. And I don't know how she managed to do it, but Kari actually wrote 43 pages along the way! Book two Corpse in the Crystal Ball comes out in June, but the book she is working on now is book three, Trouble in the Tarot.
Just wait until you see the things she has me doing. And I'm not the only one. I don't care if Detective Stone winds up in a dumpster, but Sunny is another story. I actually feel sorry for her for the messes she finds herself in.
Anyway, I just wanted you all to know I have arrived safe and sound at the grandparents' house. I miss my house, Vicky, but I have to say I'm ready for a little fun in the sun.
I'm going to need the rest because I'm sure she'll be at the keyboard the whole ride home as well.
