I'm not nosy!

Holly finally brought Trixie and me back to the Sugar Maple Inn. I did a frenzied cat dash of joy through the place when we got there. I love Holly and would go anywhere with her but her townhouse was way small and didn't have nearly as many interesting scents as the inn.
Me spying from a huge pot.

There's always something going on at the inn. People talk to me, and pet me, and admire my silky fur. They bring such interesting things with them, too. You never know what will be in all those suitcases and bags. And right now, our apartment on the top floor of the inn is packed with moving boxes. It's so much fun – like a maze. Except I have an advantage over Trixie because I jump up on top of the boxes. Hehehe.

I'm an expert at hiding.

Trixie is pretty cool for a dog sibling. She's a little barky sometimes but, hey, she's a dog, so I guess she can't really help that. We got in trouble right after we came back because Trixie and I went for a little middle of the night adventure. Holly was pretty upset about that. I don't know why. We were actually helpful. And it was such fun scampering through town at night!

Is that Mrs. Mewer?

Did you know that I'm the Feline Ambassador of the Sugar Maple Inn? I take that job very seriously. As far as I can tell, that means purring and looking pretty for the guests. No big deal. But no sooner did we come home to the inn than another kitty, named Mrs. Mewer, showed up. Holly seemed to think I was supposed to be nice to her. I thought a hissy fit might be more appropriate.

That's not me snooping.  I deny being in that bag!

It's not easy being a cat. So much to do. And people are so helpless with their inferior eyesight in the dark and their crummy noses. They can't even smell a mouse! No wonder they need cats with special sleuthing skills

Time to hit my favorite sunbeam. You can find out more about my nighttime adventure and Mrs. Mewer in THE GHOST AND MRS. MEWER, which will be out on December 2nd!

Sleuthing is exhausting!

  1. I enjoyed the first book to this series, Murder She Barked and am looking forward to the next book, The Ghost and Mrs Mewer. I really enjoy mysteries that include animals as main characters and recipes meant for our furry friends.

  2. We are going to take hiding lessons from you! There are two of us, and we tend to make disturbances when we try to hide.

  3. THE GHOST AND MRS. MEWER is pre-ordered and I can't wait for it to arrive. I will wait for Fall to read it, but I know it will be worth the wait. DIVA WRAPS IT UP is in queue to read and now I have to pre order DIVA STEALS A CHOCOLATE KISS. I only have one problem with your books, I can't put them down once I start reading. I do have other things to do you know. But I do love both series and I appreciate how different they are from each other. Happy writing and happy Thanksgiving.

  6. I'm looking forward to reading about you in THE GHOST AND MRS. MEWER, even though you are a cat.
