All I want for Christmas #book #giveaway @LucyBurdette

by Hayley snow from Lucy Burdette's Key West food critic mystery series

My mother asked me recently what I wanted for Christmas. And I took a moment to think things over. And realized I don't need a thing.

I had no idea when I moved to Key West a year and a couple of months ago, that I'd start a whole new life with the most amazing friends. I mean, who makes a whole set of friends in a new place that make her feel as though she's known them forever?

Take Lieutenant Steve Torrence: When he isn't scolding me for getting involved with murder investigations, he treats me like a member of his family. And not the crazy branch, either.

And then there's Lorenzo Smith, who reads Tarot cards down at Mallory Square every night. Lorenzo has absolutely come through for me every time something in my life looks bleak.
He offers free readings when I need them, and advice on everything from murder to my love life. Which sometimes feels like the same thing, LOL..

And the friends I've made on Houseboat Row, including my roommate Miss Gloria. Well, a girl can't get any more lucky than that.

So I ended up telling my mom that I don't need a thing. Unless she can get her hands on a new foodie mystery. I've heard that one called DEATH WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS is just out (wink, wink).

And speaking of friends, we here at Killer Characters are so grateful for our readers and friends that we are giving away a book a day to celebrate the season. Just leave a comment today about what you'd love to find stuffed in your stocking, and you'll be entered in the drawing for the new book, DEATH WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS

  2. All I can think about are books right now (I think my stocking can hold a few books). ;)
Oh! There is new movie to be on sale next week that looks fun which won't take up too much room in the stocking... I think it could fit with a few of the books on my wish list.

Please enter me in the contest.

  30. I want snow. Our snow is going away. I like winter but my husband hates it so we will be down south for most of the winter. I just wanted to have snow until we leave. But it is not looking good. I want books, too. Lots of books. Cozy mystery books. I have a better chance to get the books than the snow...
