Choices, Good and Bad.

By: Merry Wynter

Title: Death of an English Muffin

Series: Merry Muffin Mysteries

Release Date: July 7th, 2015

Author: Victoria Hamilton

Choices...

Choices at first kept me away from Wynter Castle, and then brought me to it, at long last. Every choice, I realized lately, comes with a good and bad side, not so much an outcome, but a variety of attendant bonuses and drawbacks that affect your next choice, and so on.

For instance... when I first arrived at Wynter Castle, I made the choice to invite my best friends, Shilo and Pish, to stay with me. The result has been, Shilo and Jack McGill, the local real estate agent, have married, and my darling Pish has gotten me into a world of trouble by inviting his lovely aunt and her miserable friends to stay with us at the castle.

Choices...

How many do I have? I could ask them all to leave, but the money they pay to stay here is helpful if I want to fix up the castle enough to sell it. And if I kick out Pish's darling Aunt Lush's friends, her feelings will be hurt and she may go with them, which will hurt Pish's feelings and he may be next. I don't want him to leave; he's one of the few people who keep me sane in the odd little burg of Autumn Vale, New York.

Well, my next choice is to hold a tea party to try to keep the ladies busy. However... if Lush's friends misbehave they will indeed have to go. Really, though... how awful could a tea party with the elderly lady friends and a few select townsfolk be?

Choices... I'm doing my best to make wise ones, but choices don't come with guarantees.

What choices have you made that turned out to have different consequences than you anticipated?

Join Merry in Death of an English Muffin and find out just what complications can arise from that tea party with elderly ladies!

In one month I will be holding a giant giveaway - Merry Muffin Mysteries as well as copies of The Cozy Cookbook, which features recipes from Vintage Kitchen Mysteries and the Merry Muffin Mysteries, to celebrate both my appearance on Whatcha Got?, a radio show with Harry L. Rinker, antiques and collectibles expert, who will be interviewing me about my Vintage Kitchen Mysteries and Teapot Collector Mysteries, and the release of Death of an English Muffin, coming July 7th.

  2. I can't think of any choices that I've made lately that have had different consequences than I anticipated, but I will likely have to make some in the near future so I'll keep you posted.

  5. I love the series and can't wait for this new book to come out. I'll tell you what. I have to check my lottery tickets this morning... If I've won anything I'll buy the castle as a summer home. Brooklyn gets gets too darn hot in the summer.

  6. A very major choice is in front of my family at the moment. My son is turning 18 next week and wants to join the military. I know that his choice will have a major effect and consequences for not only him, but our family as well. Anyway, I've never read any of your books before, but the covers are lovely and I can't wait to get started!
