Could I Have a Secret Admirer?

Summer is finally here and that means it's time for Amore Chocolate's 60th Anniversary celebration. We're kicking it off with a chocolate tasting in the garden of Amore's CEO, Joe Moreno. Nina Reid Norwood, my best friend and across the street neighbor, has been counting the days to the chocolate tasting. Cakes, candies, desserts, pastries. If you can make it with chocolate we'll be serving it.

But something strange happened to me. I found a box of chocolates at my front door. There's no card. And the box is unmarked. No logo or brand. Just a plain red box with six of the most amazing looking chocolates in it! No two are alike.

Naturally, I assumed they were from Alex, the guy I've been dating on and off. He denied any knowledge of them, and frankly, sounded a little put out that someone else had sent me chocolates.

I called my ex-husband Mars. I didn't really think they would be from him, but it could happen. Turns out they're not from Mars, either.

Who do you think they're from?

THE DIVA STEALS A CHOCOLATE KISS is almost here!
It will be in bookstores on June 2nd.
So Krista is giving away a copy today to one person who leaves comment.
Good luck! And be sure to leave your email address so Krista can contact you if you're the winner!

  1. I adore chocolate! (It should be a food group). I am hoping you have a secret admirer.... but to be safe, you might want to be the chocolates tested. I would have thought the giver would had left a note (or poem). Since there isn't one, it does make me suspicious.

  88. Before I retired, I worked for the Federal government. Sometimes we had to sort the mail after we picked it up and distribute it to mail boxes as an extra duty to out regulat ones. I would ask you what did the the address label look like? First of all, do not touch it!

I would be even inclined to call the police. You don't know how many days we dreaded seeing the wrong kind of envelope filled with white powder. If we did come across one, we would have have someone call the emergency people and be escorted to the shower room downstairs....
