Family and Friends Make Life Worth Living
That said, my granddaughter Toni is in a heck of a mess this time. She hasn't told anyone but the bakery is barely paying the bills. So she's ramped up her on-line holiday marketing campaigns, which means she's been baking round the clock-even sleeping in the bakery. Silly girl has too much pride. She has a sizable family just waiting to help out. All she has to do is ask.
But then the unthinkable happens. My grandson Tim, Toni's brother, is framed for murder. We all know that the local law enforcement crew is not exactly in a hurry to investigate what seems like an open and shut case. So I'm doing my level best to investigate, but I need Toni. She's the real star who can put together clues and handle the bad guys. But she's working night and day. It takes me a while, but I finally get her to understand that family comes first. That means her brother's well-being come first, but also, on the flip side, her bakery's well-being. In our family no man or woman is an island. What good is having a family, if you can't ask for help every once in a while?
The investigation is on and the holidays loom. Oh, and my sweet granddaughter finally decides she's going out on a date. What could make an old woman happier?
Now, let's dish. What's your favorite holiday cookie? There's a free book in the offering if you comment. And don't forget to order your copy today. Cheers~
