I guess everybody knows who I am by now. Mostly because you’ve met me in every one of the Soup Lover’s Mysteries. I’m the town doctor and I run the Snowflake Clinic. I’m also head over heels in love with Lucky Jamieson.
I consider myself a lucky guy, a very lucky guy because of her. When she returned to Snowflake, I couldn’t believe my eyes. She wasn’t a young kid any more, she was all grown up and beautiful on top of that. I was thrilled she even took an interest in me.
Of course, between you and me, she’s confessed she had a young girl’s crush on me years before, but I still consider myself fortunate that she’d even have an interest after all these years.
It’s really heartbreaking that it took her parents’ death to return home and take over their restaurant, the By the Spoonful Soup Shop, but it’s been wonderful we were able to reconnect.
And I'm happy to say I’ve been there for her through all the murders and mysteries in the village. Oh, I know what you’re gonna say . . . I was a real jerk in A Roux of Revenge. Stupid and insensitive that’s what I was. No argument from me.You see, I hired an ex-girlfriend to work at the Clinic. I needed help there and I couldn’t foresee there’d be a problem. I was blind to what my ex was really up to.
Lucky saw it and she was pretty upset. I was afraid we might really break up. Nobody is happier than I am that it didn’t happen. Of course, our author, Connie Archer, got lots of emails and Facebook messages, talking about what a jerk I was and how Lucky should dump me, but fortunately, our author had no intention of letting that happen. I'm grateful for that!
After that time, our romance was back on an even keel. We were doing great by the time Ladle to the Grave hit the bookshelves, and there’s even more to come.
Wait till you read about us in A Clue in the Stew, next spring 2016. It’s coming soon and I can’t wait to hear what everybody has to say.
Any idea what’s going to happen? You can guess, but my lips are sealed until next spring. See you then!
She'll pass on any comments you have to Elias. Let's see what he has to say!
