Find the Perfect Accessories--at a Costume Shop!

You know what the number one question I hear is? "Where did you get that?" And nine times out of ten, the answer is, "a costume shop." Yes, I know I don't dress like everybody else. It's not because I'm dying to be the center of attention. Truthfully, there are days when I'd rather blend in. But I feel more comfortable in costumes than not. If you took me to the mall and had me pick out an outfit like everybody else, that would feel like a costume to me!

It all started back in first grade. My dad was so busy with Disguise DeLimit that he forgot to take me back to school shopping. Next thing you know, I had to get ready for my first day of school and none of my clothes from last year fit. The only options were to skip school or pick out an outfit from our inventory. Considering my dad wasn't about to let me skip school over clothes, you can figure out what we did. I went to school dressed for one of the Lollipop kids from the Wizard of Oz, and the rest is history.

You can find lots of interesting things at costume shops, and in a town like Proper City, lots of kids shop at our store. We sell flapper dresses and accessories by the dozen. Feather boas, too. And don't think it's just for girls. Last year we sold out of our spats and ascots right before the prom.

So the next time you have an event and are wondering what you might want to wear, maybe you should take a spin through your local costume shop to get ideas? You never know. Maybe a tiara or a pair of opera gloves is just the thing to take your outfit from drab to dynamic!
