Our house has some very bad vibes!

It does, it really does.
I'm Cecily Winters and I blame the whole thing on my sister, Marjorie.  We have stacks and stacks of mysteries and thrillers all over the house and they're all about bloodthirsty villains and even bloodier victims.  Believe me, it is not my taste!

I admit I like a good mystery once in a while, a cozy mystery, but I don't appreciate anything darker.  I don’t want to get scared when I read, but my sister frightens me.  How can she possibly read those dreadful stories?

And now she's become some sort of amateur crime solver and an expert in forensics and all the things that can kill someone.  Just makes me shiver.  I wonder about her.  I wonder a lot what she's thinking about and if she might be practicing to commit a crime herself.

And to make matters worse ~ guess what happened?  A famous mystery writer came to our village and now my sister can't talk about anything else.  The author’s book is Murder Comes Calling and it's all about a serial killer who strangles his victims with a telephone cord.  Ugh!  Can you imagine that?
Marjorie never shuts up about the modus operandi of the serial killer, the forensics of blood spatter, DNA trace evidence, where the bodies were discovered, how the bodies looked, how long they had been dead!
Dear Lord!  Give me a break!  My sister has become a regular Jekyll and Hyde.
It used to be so peaceful here in our little village and now I'm almost afraid to go to sleep at night.  I feel like I'm waiting for the next murder to happen!  Can you blame me?  I have no idea what'll happen next!
You can read all about my morbid sister and the famous author in A Clue in the Stew.  Then tell me if you think I'm right to be afraid.

And can visit my author, Connie Archer, at her website, Facebook or Twitter @SnowflakeVT.
That's if you dare!

  1. I think I'd worry that I might be the next victim of my sister's
interest in gory crime. Got to start somewhere.

  5. Curiosity is my middle name! I don't necessarily like the details of gore, but the mystery would keep me going too! Thank you for a chance to win the book. Merry
