By Bea Cartwright from Kylie Logan’s League of Literary Ladies mystery series and Laurel Inwood from her Ethnic Eats mystery series

It’s Labor Day here in the US and Labour Day for you folks up in Canada.  What that means, of course, is that we’re all enjoying the last, glorious days of summer.  Soft breezes, long evenings that fade into starry nights, watching the hummingbirds come and go at the feeders.

It also means that you’ve got better things to do today than sit in front of your computer or peer at the screen on your phone.  So go out!  Enjoy!  Do one last barbeque, one last sitting on the back porch watching the stars pop out against the navy blue sky.

Here on South Bass Island, Bea and the League of Literary Ladies will celebrate with fireworks and the folks in Hubbard, Ohio, where Laurel and her aunt Sophie live, there will be a parade and no doubt Declan Fury and his boisterous Irish family will add to the fun.

Enjoy.  Savor.  Have a wonderful holiday!
