HAPPY THANKSGIVEAWAY!

.
Character:        Savannah Webb
Series:             Webb’s Glass Shop Mysteries
Author:            Cheryl Hollon

Hi there, I’m Savannah Webb, owner of Webb’s Glass Shop on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, Florida. I'm in the kitchen preparing for Thanksgiving. I'm cooking the turkey, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes with pan gravy and my mother's famous chocolate peanut butter pie.

I've invited my new family to join me for our feast for about one o'clock. That's deliberate because I like to watch Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade as I cook. Because we live in Florida, we'll be eating outside on the picnic table in the back yard. Edward is bringing a baked brie with raspberry sauce for a starter, scratch made sour dough dinner rolls and a large dish of carmelized brussel sprouts. His restaurant is closed to let his staff have the day with their families. Amanda has ordered a bone-in spiral sliced ham with raisen sauce to bring as she doesn't cook but has excellent ordering skills. Jacob Underwood and his parents will be bringing homemade cranberry relish, corn cassarole and a pumpkin pie. There will be enough food for an army.

After stuffing ourselves, we're planning to take a long walk around nearby Crescent Lake to counteract the afternoon doldrums. Then we're back to the house for my favoriate movie, "Miracle on 34th Street" and then we'll be sharing out the leftovers to take home.

I'm grateful beyond words for the support my friends have given me during the first year of owning Webb's Glass Shop. In tribute to this meaningful holiday, I give thanks. Happy Thanksgiving!

You can read more about Savannah in Cracked to Death, the third book in the Webb’s Glass Shop Mysteries, published by Kensington Books. Available at your favorite book vendor.

About Cracked to Death:

When a treasure hunt leads to deadly plunder, it’s up to glass shop owner Savannah Webb and her trusty investigative posse to map out the true motives of a killer . . .

It's the dog days of summer in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Webb's Glass Shop proprietor Savannah Webb has an eco-friendly plan to help locals escape the heat--a recyclable bottle-crafting workshop taught by reticent store manager Amanda Blake. Turns out, the class is a bigger smash than expected, thanks in part to a pair of staggeringly old bottles brought in by snorkeler Martin Lane . . .

Linked to a storied pirate shipwreck, the relics definitely pique Savannah's interest. But intrigue turns to shock when Martin's lifeless body washes ashore the next morning, another glass artifact tucked in his dive bag. With cell phone records connecting Amanda to the drowning, Savannah must voyage through uncharted territory to exonerate her colleague and capture the twisted criminal behind Martin's death . . .

  2. I just tried glass sculpting for the first time last weekend. I made a "flower"... Not sure one could identify it as such, but it was fun if not a little nerve-wracking. This sounds like a fun place to live. I look forward to reading more!
