We’re terribly busy here at Love Blossom Farm. My best friend Kelly Thacker is getting married in a week and the reception will be in our barn. Kelly is our local veterinarian—she takes care of all the farm animals but also holds a clinic for house pets.
Kelly wants a real relaxed, casual wedding where everyone can enjoy themselves, eat lots of good food and dance till their feet give out.
We have a popcorn machine for the kids, platters of barbecued chicken with all the trimmings and, of course, a delicious wedding cake.
Kelly’s dress is lovely. She wanted something tea length to show off her shoes—or in this case—boots. Kelly plans on wearing her cowboy boots for the ceremony.
My daughter Amelia is going to do Kelly’s hair. She didn’t want anything too fancy—just something to tame her red curls for the day. Hopefully we’ll be able to get the smell of manure off of her in time for the ceremony!
I just know it’s all going to be lovely. And of course you’re invited! Everything takes place in Bought the Farm, which will be out in June.
What would your ideal wedding be like?
