Dogs, Handbags, Wiseguys, and Murder!

by Betty Foxx from Sparkle Abbey's Pampered Pets Mystery series

I’m back! I’ve missed hanging out with all of you.

When I was here last, I had just begun investigating my newest case, the Laguna Bash ‘n Dash break-ins. Just for the record, I was right! Someone did wind up dead. This new murder case has something for everyone—stealing, lying, cheating. . . .all we’re missing is a hottie cowboy, cryin’ in his beer, and we’d be living a country music song. Ha!

But this ain’t Nashville; this is life in our feisty seaside town, and I love it here. This place keeps me young.

Right now, I’m up to my eyeballs with suspects. I told that sexy TV reporter I’d give him an exclusive interview. I’m sure he’s checking his calendar for the perfect day. In the meantime, I’ve been shopping for a new outfit to wear for my on-camera interview. I found a butterfly print, silk two-piece lounging outfit on the Internet. Do you think birds and butterflies would look good on TV? Maybe I should stick with something more traditional, like moon and stars. Maybe, I should just buy both. . . . .

You can find out more about my murder case on Sept 21, 2018, when The Dogfather, book 10 in the Pampered Pets Mystery series, is released. You can pre-order if you wanna make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun.

The Dogfather
When a local, designer handbags store owner is found dead, the police first believe it’s an unfortunate accident. But the evidence doesn’t lie. Before you can say "wiseguy," Bow Wow Boutique owner, Melinda Langston’s, former fiancĂ© and undercover FBI agent, Grey Donovan, is the prime suspect.

Now the two are working side-by-side to prove Grey's innocence— nothing personal, just business. Or is it? Suspects are piling up, family secrets are exposed, and no one is who they appear to be, including Mel’s newest employee. Time’s running out. Mel better sniff out the killer before she and Grey end up sleeping with the fishes.
