Trouble In Wagtail

Trixie Miller blogs
for the Paws & Claws Mysteries
by Krista Davis

You should see all the people in town. They're trying to howl and bark, and they're wearing headbands with dog ears. They're not fooling me or any of the other dogs in town. We know they're still humans. Nice ones for the most part, but still humans.

Other strange things are happening, too. A lot of people have recognized me from my picture in Dog Life Magazine. I'm used to running around sniffing out scents and minding my own business. But now it seems like a lot of people know my name and want to pat me. I can hardly keep up with sniffing all the dog news on the ground. I don't mind the cookies they give me, though.

But there's a problem and I'm really scared. My mom took Gingersnap, Twinkletoes, and me for a walk in the woods and I recognized a man who was mean to me. Very mean. I don't want to go back to him. I want to stay with my mom, Holly. I can tell she's worried about him. She picked me up and held me so tight I thought I wouldn't be able to breathe. I'll bite him if he tries to touch me. I will! I'm not joking. I've never bitten anyone in my whole life. But in this case, my life might depend on it.

  5. I've recently read and reviewed "THE DIVA RUNS OUT OF THYME". LOVED IT! Can't wait for the opportunity to read each and every book in the Paws and Claws Mystery series. Wagtail, Gingersnap, Twinkletoes sound adorable and I'm sure reading about them would make even the grumpiest person smile.

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to win a copy of one of Krista Davis' books in this series! Sharing and hoping. <3
