Heather Blake’s It Takes a Witch (available Jan. 3rd!)
Not long after I found out I was a witch (a witch!!!) and moved to the Enchanted Village in Salem, Massachusetts, strange things started happening.
First, there’s the pickpocket. Someone’s targeting tourists in the village, snitching cold hard cash from their wallets. Not good for the village’s reputation. A task force was formed to catch the thief, headed by Nick Sawyer, a single dad with a law enforcement background. (The fact that he makes me go weak-kneed is really annoying.)
Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, there was a murder behind Spellbound Bookshop. Talk about bad for the village’s reputation, especially since the woman killed was someone who proclaimed herself to be a witch.
Somehow, my sister Harper and I found ourselves in the thick of things. Since Harper has a (somewhat) criminal background, she was suspected of being the pickpocket. What could I do but try and clear her name by finding the real culprit?
And when my aunt Ve’s boyfriend is suspected of the murder, I have to jump in and try to find the killer. It’s the least I can do for Ve, right?
Because sometimes It Takes a Witch to get things done around here.
Done right is another matter altogether...
