Identity Crisis

by Angie Braddock from the Amish Quilt Shop Mystery Series by Isabella Alan

Hi! I’m Angie Braddock the owner of Running Stitch, a charming Amish quilt shop in the middle of Holmes County, Ohio. But I’m not Amish… not even a little. I’m a child beauty pageant surviving, graphic designing, cowboy boot wearing, French bulldog loving girl from Dallas, Texas. How not Amish is that?

So how to did I come to own an Amish quilt shop in the middle of the largest Amish community in the world? You will have to read my new mystery series, the Amish Quilt Shop Mystery Series, coming from Isabella Alan in September. The first novel is call Murder,Plain and Simple, and it’s full of love, loss, danger, suspense, wisecracks, and just about the cutest French bulldog who ever waddled across the page. (How did I do on selling it? Want to read it yet?)

Like me, Isabella seems to have some trouble with her identity. You see, her real name is Amanda Flower. You may know her Appleseed Creek Mystery Series, which includes the dreamy Timothy Troyer…but I digress. Why’d Isabella change her name, you ask? Got me. Authors are funny that way, but Isabella is telling my story so it’s best not to provoke her. She does kill fictional characters for a living, and I don’t want to be on her hit list.

I’m happy to tell you that you don’t have to wait all the way until September to read about Oliver, my Frenchie, and me. Nope. Coming August 6th, Isabella’s publisher will release a prequel e-novella to the series called Plainly Murder. Personally, I believe it sets the series up nicely, but of course, I’m biased. What I don’t like about this novella is Isabella sent this Dallas girl to Ohio…in February. Seriously, that’s not the best time of year to introduce me to my new home. Can we say cold? I’m shivering just thinking about it.

I’m talking about my books coming up, and you must be wondering about the covers for both book one and the novella. You can see them on May 8th. We are having a big cover reveal on Cozy Mystery Book Reviews and Destination Amish. Isabella will be giving away an Amish prize package on both websites, so you will want to check that out.
Millersburg, Ohio, county seat of Holmes County
