By Lizzie Turner from Read and Buried,
Book #2 in the Ashton Corners Book Club Mysteries by Erika Chase

Tell me if you've heard this one before...and if you have, please indulge me. I, along with the entire gang at the Ashton Corners Mystery Readers and Cheese Straws Society, are in excitement overload anticipating next month's release of our newest adventure, Cover Story.

It's nice to take a breather from the intensity of working through a brand new plot, although I must admit our author, Erika Chase, doesn't want to let up and give us a break. That book's not due till next year though so we'll spend the next month getting ready for party time!

The launch is scheduled for Tues., Aug. 13th and you can check Erika's website for all the details. But I will tell you a bit about the book. There's an old friend of Molly's who turns out to be a brand new author, who returns to Ashton Corners and takes the town by storm. You'll love her -- Teensy Coldicutt is her name, and we're all hoping she'll stick around for many more books.

So, we're planning her book launch and Molly has the books stored in her garage. And then she's attacked and the books are stolen; the publisher turns up dead; and before you know it, another body is found and Bob Miller is behind bars! Of course, we just have to swing into action because you know as well as we do that Bob just isn't the killing type.

Well, so much for my break -- gotta get back to work in the next book. Hope y'all will join us at the next book club meeting, held on page 5 of Cover Story!

Are you planning a summer social? I'm dying to hear the details.

  1. I know how you feel. We had a few problems at our community picnic...

  2. We are planning on getting as many of our kids and grandkids together as we can, but it won't be all of them at the same time this year. Two of our kids can't make it when the other four can. But we had a great time last summer when all of our kids and most of our grandkids were all together. Maybe next year it will work out again...

  3. Not planning anything big. We kind of do things on the fly. But I am planning a lot of reading and your book is on my list!

  4. An author is always busy plotting the next book, so I don't think you get much rest in the near future. Have a great release day!
