Jazlyn Alvarez Gives Thanks

Peril for your Thoughts: A Mind Reader Mystery
by Kari Lee Townsend

Jazlyn Alvarez gives thanks!

Hey, folks. My name is Jaz and I run Full Disclosure, a cute little clothing boutique. My best friend Kalli finally let me display her lingerie designs Kalli's Originals. She's so talented. I knew it wouldn't take long for her to get discovered. Sure enough a big city chain called Interludes picked her up for the new spring line.

I am so thankful for Kalli.

You see, I don't have many friends. What can I say? I like men. I can't help it if they come on to me. But the ladies in Clearview Connecticut don't like it when I don't say no. I also can't help it that half of Clearview is Greek.

Poor Kalli. Her ma thinks I'm a bad influence, especially after my blind date winds up dead on the floor of my store. Kalli stands firmly by my side like a true best friend, even when half-Greek Detective Nik Stevens and his annoying partner--who happens to be my ex--Boomer Matheson have no choice but to name me the prime suspect. Boomer is all too happy to see me in trouble, but I suspect Nik has a thing for Kalli, even though he denies it. Between his ma and Kalli's, spring fever is in the air and the matchmaking has begun.

But with a killer on the loose, the only thing in the air is the scent of death...

So tell me, what are you thankful for this year?

  1. I know my answers are pretty stock: family, friends, home, my pets, health. But when you sit down and think about it, some times when things are going badly, you reflect on the things you do have or look at some one else's situation and think that things aren't as bad as they seem.

  2. I'm with Dianne. Family, friends, pets, and health are the important things in life. When I have a very bad day, I remind myself that there are people struggling with serious problems every day. And that makes me grateful for all the little things that I take for granted.

    1. I hear that, Krista. There are so many people who are less fortunate. This time of year always makes me stand back and reflect.

  3. My boyfriend, my best friend, and all the amazing authors who keep me in books.
