As far as I’m concerned, the holidays are all about two things: being thankful and showing gratitude. That goes double when you have a support system like I’ve developed here on South Bass Island. I know, I know . . . a year ago when I first met the women who would become the League of Literary Ladies I never would have predicated that we’d become friends.
But we have. Friends. Confidantes. Reading buddies. Investigators.
When I sit in front of the fire this Christmas season with a really good glass of wine nearby, I will be grateful for Luella, Chandra and Kate. And with some of the situations we’ve gotten into this last year, I’ll be thankful we’re all still alive, too!
I’m also grateful for the readers who have followed the adventures of the League of Literary Ladies, and as part of the Season’s Readings event here on Killer Character, I’ll be giving away one of the books that tells our stories. If you’re a winner, you’ll have your choice of “Mayhem at the Orient Express” (book #1 in the series), “A Tale of Two Biddies” (book #2) or the newest, “The Legend of Sleepy Harlow.”
Just leave a comment to today’s post and later this evening when I’m sitting in front of the fire with that glass of wine, I’ll draw a winner.
In the meantime, know how grateful and thankful I am for each and every reader out there.
