Baby it's Cold Outside & not so Cozy Inside, either!

SHENANIGANS IN THE SHADOWS: A Fortune Teller Mystery Short Story
Kari Lee Townsend

Hi there. My name is Sunshine Meadows, but you can call me Sunny. I'm normally in a great mood with a sunny disposition, just like my name.

Not lately!

Valentine's Day is supposed to be for lovers. We had lots of snow and cold temps, the perfect weather to snuggle up to and get cozy.

My valentine is Detective Mitch Stone. He is the opposite of sunny, always grumbling about something, but he's MY Detective Grumpy Pants, and I'm his Tinker Bell.

What can I say, it works for us. Except, ever since Mitch moved into my big old Victorian house, things are not so snugly or cozy. You see, my cat Morty and my boyfriend do not get along. They have been pulling all kinds of shenanigans lately, and if they're not careful, I am going to put them both in the doghouse.

Things do get a little better in PERISH IN THE PALM: book 4 of the Fortune Teller Mystery Series, but they're not out of the woods yet. They both have some serious making up to do.

So tell me, what did you do this Valentine's Day?

  1. For Valentines Day, I enjoyed time with my family.

    1. That's nice, Jen. Although taking a bubble bath with everyone leaving me alone can be nice, too ;)

  2. Cats can be very wise about people--just sayin'. Meow.

  3. I got to go to a bookstore and bought a book and ordered 3 more! A great day!
