Buy a mystery and help feed a community!

by Violet Waverly from Prose and Cons

Murder, mayhem, and Edgar Allan Poe. That sounds like a great recipe for a mystery, doesn’t it? Add in a hot police chief, talking crow, and mischievous cat, and you have what I’m dealing with in my second biography, Prose and Cons, set in Western New York just minutes from the majestic Niagara Falls.

Despite the crazy that is now my life, the longer I’m stay in Cascade Springs, New York, the village I fled from when I was seventeen only to return to accept my destiny as the Caretaker of my grandmother’s magical bookshop, Charming Books, the more I know this is exactly where I am meant to be. And yeah, I know the the whole magical bookshop thing sounds unbelievable. If you don’t believe me, you can read about it in Crime and Poetry, my first biography written by Amanda Flower.

Prose and Cons to release on December 6, 2016 will be Amanda's twentieth published mystery. Twenty books in six years. That is an incredible statistic, and one she would have never had reached if hadn’t been for the kindness of others. To honor and celebrate everything that her friends, family, and amazing readers have done for her to make this impossible dream come true, Amanda, with my blessing of course, is hosting the Prose and Cons Giveback for those in need.

Preorder or purchase any edition of Prose and Cons between now and Tuesday, December 20, 2016, and Amanda will donate one dollar for every book sold to a local food pantry, The Landing, located in Akron, Ohio. The Landing is located in the basement of Akron Christian Reformed Church with a group of dedicated volunteers. The food pantry feeds over sixty families in the church’s neighborhood on $200 a week. The money raised will go towards the purchase of an industrial refrigerator, so that the food pantry can store more food longer for their families. You can learn more about the Landing in this article and video in the Akronist.

Buy a mystery and help feed a community! What's better than that? And I hope you enjoy my latest adventure. It’s sure to make you laugh… but then again, I may be biased. It is my life after all...
