**GIVEAWAY OVER! CONGRATS TO ANNE! I'VE EMAILED YOU**
Seriously, I love family traditions. I love my family. Obviously or I wouldn't have followed in the footsteps of my parents or my granny, Zula Fae Raines Payne as the undertaker of Eternal Slumber.

This time of the year, it seems that traditions are everywhere. There is one tradition that I could do away with. High School Reunions!
Guess who is in charge of planning my high school reunion? Me! I'm not even the president of our class, but the excuse was that I live here and seem to be the only one with time on my hands.
When I got the RSVP from prom queen, Jade Lee Peel, my stomach dropped and it was like I was transported right back into high school. She was the one who came up with my nickname "creepy funeral girl." Not only was she Jack Henry's ex-girlfriend, she's also a reality star!
I'd even taken a yoga class the morning of the beginning of the reunion weekend. It was a waste of time because when I saw her and her entourage waltz into our small town, I just wanted to take her prom crown and knock her over the head with it. One problem. . .somebody got to her before I did and now she's refusing to leave me alone until I help figure out who murdered her and get her to the other side.
Emma Lee Raines sees dead people.
As if that “gift” will impress classmates at her upcoming
ten-year high school reunion in Sleepy Hollow, Kentucky. Proprietor of the Eternal
Slumber Funeral Home, Emma Lee can see, hear, and talk to ghosts of murdered
folks. And when her high school nemesis is found dead, Jade Lee Peel is the
same old mean girl—trying to come between Emma Lee and her hot boyfriend, Sheriff
Jack Henry Ross, all over again.
There’s only one way for Emma Lee to be free of the
trash-talking ghost—solve the murder so the former prom queen can cross over.
But the last thing Jade Lee wants is to leave town
where she had her glory days. And the more Emma Lee investigates on her own,
the more complicated Miss Popularity turns out to be. Now Emma Lee will have to
work extra closely with her hunky lawman
to get to the twisty truth.
A Ghostly Reunion is the fifth novel in the SOUTHERN GHOSTLY MYSTERY SERIES and will be released on December 27th!
Do you love going to your high school reunions or would you do away with that tradition? Leave a comment to win an EARLY PRINT copy of A GHOSTLY REUNION! I will pick a winner tonight and announce here tomorrow so I can get it in the mail to you! The winner has one week to email me their mailing address until I pick a new winner. Good luck!

Yes I enjoyed going to my 20 year high school reunion. There wasn't a large turn out unfortunately so hopefully the 30 year will be better.
ReplyDeletekaren(dot)kenyon(at)rogers(dot)com
I didn't go to my high school reunion. High school was okay, but I wasn't crazy about all the clicks.
ReplyDeletekvmatlock(at)gmail(dot)com
My husband and I (same graduating class) went to our 10 yr and 20 yr reunions. Clicks still in place. We have not gone to any more since. dbahn(at)iw(dot)net
ReplyDeleteI never went to my high school reunion. Dnrocker at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteI went once and never went again. The jerks were still jerks, only bigger ones.
ReplyDeletedebby236 at gmail dot com
Wasn't much of a joiner, so reunions hold no appeal to me. Kuzlin at aol.com
ReplyDeleteI have not been to any of my reunions... not high school or college. I don't care for standing around drinking, which is what usually is the main thing that happens. Besides, most of the time, they are on the same weekend of a dog show, which I would rather attend.

I have been out of high school 42 years and our class had over 900 people when we graduated. I have never been to a reunion. Not a big deal since we had so many in our class you didn't even know all of them. Love this series and book.
ReplyDeletelhxp73@yahoo.com
I didn't go to any of my high school reunions, 2 years ago we had our 40th reunion. I was in Los Angeles at the time. I'm not sure I will go to the 42nd one coming up in June 2017.
ReplyDeleteLOL! for got the info penneyw(at)sbcglobal.net
DeleteNope, don't go to them. It's just not for me, I wasn't all that popular.
ReplyDeleteOh, forgot my info angshad1967@gmail.com
DeleteI went to my ten year high school reunion and wasn't impressed. I skipped the twenty year one.

ReplyDeleteI went to my five year reunion. That was enough for me. I do keep in touch with some of my high school friends via FB.
ReplyDeleteI went to my 50th High School Reunion in September & I was all excited, once I got there a few of the girls were friendly but the rest were just as conceited as they were back in high school. I was quiet & shy back then & I have changed alot since then. The guys were not that friendly either, no more reunions for me. Love your books, Thanks for your generous giveaway. lindamay4852@yahoo.com
ReplyDeletei went to my 10 year reunion, missed the 20 year one because of work. our class hasn't had any others yet, but it is easier keeping up with classmates because of social media.

Sorry if this is a double comment please don't post if it is but yes I go to class reunions. I don't love them but I wouldn't do away with them. Thank you for the chance to win. iamabho (@) gmail (.) com
ReplyDeleteI was on the committee for our 10 year reunion. Since I'm local I chose to be the detective who tracked down everyone who didn't join the alumni group. I found the contact info for almost 100 people (Graduating Class of around 1200). Since then I haven't had the time or the money to attend any of the others.
ReplyDeleteNoraAdrienne (at) gmail (dot) com
I haven't attended any as always lived too far away to
ReplyDeletego, but don't know that I would have gone anyway...not
that interested in reconnecting with some of my former
classmates....
Love reunions just had my 50th. This year. I was not a popular member of my class but everybody was on even ground theses days. We had a great time.

I went once, they could do away with it. I had fun though. Donamaekutska7@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI haven't gone to my high school reunions... I am still in touch with my friends from high school and just never felt like I needed to go ...
ReplyDeleteI have no desire to go to a high school reunion. I keep in touch with a few people.

I don't think my class has ever had a reunion, if so, in 35 years no one managed to hunt me down and I live within 20 miles. I wouldn't go. I honestly wouldn't remember anyone except my immediate friends. I went, did my time and left.

Congratulations Anne!! You won!! I'm emailing you now!
DeleteThank you very much!
DeleteI didn't go to my 20 YEAR reunion and probably won't go to the next one either just no interest in it. Missycook@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI've never been interested in attending any of my reunions, but I'm curious about this one! Jill Broussard; minishoes@msn.com
ReplyDeleteI have a major high school reunion coming up next year. 50!
ReplyDeleteOn the one hand, I feel like I should go in hopes of seeing the 1-2 people I'd like to reconnect with.
On the other hand, those 1-2 people are likely to not go and I'd be there with all those people I hardly remember and don't really care about.
Terrible, huh?

I didn't go to my 10 year Hugh school reunion. I didn't hang out with them when I was in high school I'm not going to pay $20 to hang out with them now.

DeleteI always avoided class reunions like the plague. Then I heard of the 50th reunion of the class I started school with, but moved and didn't graduate with them, and I asked if I could join them. Surprise---it was really fun!
ReplyDeletesuefarrell.farrell@gmail.com
I have never gone to any of my high school reunions in the 40 years since I graduated. I was shy and never made friends. No reason to go. Besides, I have always lived too far away.
ReplyDeleteSince I moved away from town to go to college, every one looks like somebody's grandparents. I don't recognize anyone. It is so tough to go back.
ReplyDeletecjreynolds52(at)comcast(dot)net
DeleteI haven't been to a high school reunion yet. There are folks I'd like to see; but, what with distance and kids (and pets) and work . . . things never materialized. Now with family reunions and grandchildren on two different continents thrown into the mix I doubt I'll ever get to one. However, I'm retired so it is a possibility! :)
ReplyDeleteI've not been to any of my class reunions. Dmskrug3 at hotmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to my reunion yet as it is in Ca and i moved to Ia.When i see the pics from the reunion I would be the only one who is disabled and also have deformed limbs. The others have their hair so pretty and they look like they just graduated in 2000 and not 1973 so I find it to be intimidating. I do pay to go and then i get all the items that they have and the pics from there as I do like seeing my friends and everything just don't want them to see me like this as I was not disabled in high school. Thank you for the chance for the print giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to read this! Sounds to good. I would do away without them. I don't go.
ReplyDeleteHigh School only holds minimal interest, but I wouldn't do away with the tradition. Many people enjoy them. I was excited to attend the ten year reunion, but I didn't attend the 25 year party...I wasn't happy with my appearance. No one in the class arranged for a 40 or a 45, so a 50 will probably not be arranged. Good...
ReplyDeletekat8762@aol.com
I have not been to my reunions. If people want to attend, they can. Just not for me. angelhwk68(at)yahoo(dot)com

ReplyDeleteI live far far away from where I attended high school so it would require a plane ticket. When the time came I decided not to spend the money. I think I was one of three student who didn't attend, although my graduating class was only 40. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteRlewis11797 (at) yahoo (dot) com
this year would have been my 58th class reunion.
ReplyDeleteWe were a small class and since I wasn't
in the "in" class I've lost touch with all of
them. Never missed not going to any of the reunions.
would love to read the book - sounds interesting.
thanks

No way on the reunions! Once through with the highest school crowd was enough.
ReplyDeleteSallycootie (at)gmail (dot)com
I have never been to my high school reunion. After high school I never had any desire to go back.

Thank you for all the comments!! I wish I could reply to each one...back to the writing cave! I'll pick a winner tonight and update the post tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tonya I have a reply that needs approval. I just made it..
DeleteI think my class enjoyed our 10th year reunion so much we decided to never do it again cause it's be over 20 years and nobody ever did anything else...lol. I am okay with that. :)
ReplyDeleteI have never been to mine. I just didn't keep up with H.S. Friends I made so many really close Friends in College and have kept up with them. Every week I go out to eat with two of them and three more I talk to or see regularly. I wouldn't ban Reunions because some people really enjoy them just not me.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn ewatvess@yahoo.com
I haven't attended any of my class reunions (42) but I have gone to several of my husband's. The reason for not attending mine is I didn't feel as if I fit in with my former classmates. I go to my husband's because I am his spouse and every now and then I get him to dance with me.
ReplyDeleteI've passed on everyone of them. My brother-in-law went to his first ( 35th) and had a good time.
ReplyDeleteI went to my 10th & 40th high school reunions. Skipped the 25th one. I enjoyed going to the 40th one mainly because that's when you can really see the difference in people from high school. They are deciding whether to have a 45th reunion by going on a cruise or just wait until 2025 for the 50th reunion. May or may not go to either one depends on money situation.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been financially able to go to any of mine, I miss my classmates, I would very much love to win the book! Your an amazing author and friend!!! Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteNot interested in high school reunions. A lot of kids teased or bullied me so I'd like to avoid a lot of people I went to school with, even if they would act nicer now. One of the comments mentioned drinking, and I don't drink. One time I did get a call about a reunion but said I wasn't interested. Maybe that was in 2000 for my ten year reunion. I think they usually track people on Facebook instead of calling, but luckily I haven't been contacted.

Yes I enjoy going. I went to my 40th this year. It was held on the same day of my 40th Wedding Anniversary. They had a cake for us.
ReplyDeleteMy 50th will be this coming July. It will also be my first. I've recently reconnected with some of my high school friends(we no longer live in the community where we attended HS) and I will really enjoy the reunion.
