By John Bongorelli, Lawyer, “Squeezer and Bongo” Mystery Weekly Magazine, June 2019
So when my old high school nemesis Squeezer Markham showed up in my law office, hair in a ponytail and still wearing his high school letter jacket, I knew there was trouble afoot. I tried to hustle him out but—no go.
His ex-wife, a sweet girl named Lisa who I remembered from the neighborhood, had been murdered and the cops were looking hard at Squeezer.
Conveniently forgetting all the times he bullied me back at school, Squeezer sauntered into my office to tell me (me!) to get him off the hook. What I needed was to get him out of my office and fast before one of the senior partners at our corporate and tax liability firm got a look at him.
