By Sassy Cabot from the Read ’Em and Eat Mysteries by Terrie Farley Moran
The only thing better than winter in Fort Myers Beach is summer in Fort Myers Beach. Well, except for Aunt Ophie prancing around singing “Summertime, and the living is easy…” Honestly sometime I think she believes she is Ella Fitzgerald.
Anyway, I am happy we have another bustling summer at the Read ’Em and Eat Café and Bookstore. And with each passing season the construction on Estero Boulevard moves close to Lover’s Key and has less impact on getting around town day to day. I can’t even imagine the celebration we’ll have when the construction crews finally leave. Although from the viewpoint of café owners, Bridgy and I get a lot of breakfast and lunch orders from the workers.
Listen to me, going on and on as if you know all about us. Well, if you don’t here is a great way to meet us. Our author is giving away an Advanced Reader Copy (uncorrected proof) of WELL READ, THEN DEAD, the very first book in the Read ’Em and Eat series. No fancy cover, but lots of great characters inside, including me, my business partner Bridgy, our fabulous chef Miguel, Bridgy’s Aunt Ophie, and lots of fun members of our various book clubs. Oh, and someone gets murdered!
For a chance to win, please comment below and tell us how you feel about summer. Don’t forget to include your email addy in this format: name(AT)server(DOT) com to avoid the spam bots. Giveaway closes at midnight, your time, Sunday, July 21st .
