I'm Late, I'm Late... Feeling like the White Rabbit

By Jill Gardner from ROCKETS' DEAD GLARE by Lynn Cahoon

Hey guys, I'm just getting in from a late night out with the coffee truck on the beach. South Cove is smack in the middle of our 4th of July celebration week. Fireworks on the beach for five nights in a row! I love fireworks, but since I was working the shack, I had to clear off my line as my customers ooh'd and ahh'd over the display. Finally, I shut the windows down and Nick Michaels and I went and sat in the sand to watch the rest of the display. Then, as soon as it was over, I had more customers coming for water and sodas.

I got home just before midnight. Since Toby can't work his barista shift this week as he's full time plus with Greg and the police department, I'm working double duties. Including my early morning shift.

Reading hasn't been on my list for the last week so I'm feeling deprived. What books are you taking with you to your 4th of July celebration?

Print, e-book, or digital?

A nosy bookseller wants to know. :) See you all next month!

Rockets Dead Glare is available now for your 4th of July celebration! And, it's on sale for 99cents!

As sunny South Cove, California, gears up for their annual Fourth of July celebrations, a local murder threatens to kill the fireworks . . .
South Cove’s local businesses are up in arms after volunteer fire chief Barry Gleason threatens to shut down anyone who doesn’t comply with the fire code. But when Barry schedules a training burn in an old abandoned barn, he is the only one who doesn't come out alive. Jill Gardner—owner of Coffee, Books, and More—smells murder in the ashes. She’ll have to work quickly to nab a killer with a short fuse—or else everyone’s holiday will end with a fizzle . . .

  1. I'm taking e-book as it will be too dark to read print.
