Have you ever noticed there’s a day for everything? I understand Labor Day, Valentine’s Day, and even Boss’s Day (though I don’t have one of those). But who comes up with strange things like Read In The Bathtub Day, Mother Goose Day, International Joke Day, or Talk Like A Pirate Day? Arghh!
Ever hear of Appreciate A Dragon Day? Who the heck has a dragon to appreciate?
Don’t get me wrong. I’m all in favor of appreciation. Especially on August 17 -
Black Cat Appreciation Day.
I support the appreciation of all cats – big cats, little cats, and in between cats - white, brown, calico, orange, or gray. But we black cats need some extra lovin' and attention because of the big fat lies people tell about black cats causing bad luck.
Every cat should be appreciated every single day. You won’t be sorry because your cat will appreciate you right back – even if you can’t tell by his actions.
So love and appreciate a black cat this Saturday. Or read a book about a black cat. We will appreciate you for that, too. Mrreow!
Share pictures of your black cat - give everyone a reason to celebrate on August 17.
