Life is a funny thing, isn’t it?

You just never know what’s around the corner or what might fall into your lap, or who you’re about to meet.  I’m Gale Hymson.  You’ve met me before in the Zodiac Mysteries, I know, and I’m proud to say I’m in every single book and there are more stories to come.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the strangeness of serendipity and synchronicity.  Big words you say?  Yup, I guess they are.  But sometimes the best things in life happen just by accident.

That’s how I met my dear friend Julia Bonatti.  Right about that time I was in the process of opening my occult bookshop in North Beach.  Julia was helping her grandmother out at a theatre nearby and we met over a wall in a parking lot, of all places!  She spotted me unloading boxes for the shop and said hello and we struck up a friendship from that day on.  I won’t tell you everything that happened because it would give the whole story away, but I was very glad to be nearby to help her out in an emergency.

Just think -- if Julia’s grandmother Gloria didn’t happen to be doing the wardrobe for that ill-starred theater production, Julia wouldn’t have been present either.  We would never have met.  Sometimes you meet someone quite by accident and you know, you just know, that this is a person who will stay in your life and become a really good friend.  I consider myself blessed that Julia and I found each other.

You can learn all about the beginnings of our story in the upcoming Enter a Wizard, Stage Left.  A new novella in e-book format from our author, Connie di Marco.  I can’t wait to read it!  And there are even more exciting Zodiac Mysteries to come!

You can visit our author at conniedimarco.com or Facebook or Twitter @askzodia.
See you there!

    1. Hi Kim, thanks for visiting today. Yes, the next is a novella, which will be an e-book, and then Zodiac #4, Serpent's Doom.

  3. It is amazing how some people meet. Fate has a great way of making important introductions. I look forward to reading the new novella and can't wait for more full length books in the series!

    1. I think I wrote the novella after I received FB messages and emails from a few people who wanted to know more about how Julia got her start, more about her grandmother, and how she found her cat Wizard. I hadn't thought of doing anything like that before, but it was really fun to write. Hope you enjoy it soon!
