by Carrie Kennersly, veterinary technician and owner of an adjoining barkery and bakery, whose adventures are memorialized in the Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries by Linda O. Johnston
It's October, and nearly Halloween. That means I'll be getting more business for a while in my human bakery Icing on the Cake than in my dog bakery Barkery and Biscuits. I don't think too many people give out bakery treats like cookies and cupcakes for Halloween instead of candy, but somehow my sales ramp up a bit this time of the year.
Have I gotten involved in any more amateur sleuthing? No, fortunately, since I'll have less time to dig in and try to find any killers. But I do intend to spend more time with my dear Dr. Reed Storme, the veterinarian from the Knobcone Heights Veterinary Clinic who's my guy, and with my dear dog Biscuit.
There still haven't been any new murders in
since the one
that was described in FOR A GOOD PAWS, the book about my latest sleuthing
situation that was published in May 2019. That story partly involved the murder
of the Knobcone
Heights mayor long before I moved
here... and what happened more recently that seemed related. And in case you're interested more in
listening to it than reading about it, it's now available as an audio book, of
all things. So are some of my other
stories. Knobcone Heights
Is that good? Who knows? Now, excuse me while I head into Icing on the Cake to work on getting ready for Halloween.
FOR A GOOD PAWS, the fifth Barkery & Biscuits Mystery by Linda O. Johnston, was a May 2019 release.
