Rushing About, plus #GIVEAWAY!
Hi, everybody! I'm Fredericka O'Neill, but everybody calls me Freddy. Please excuse me if I'm out of breath. I always seem to overbook myself and then I'm rushing around everywhere trying not to be late.
I don't know how the menfolk in my family - from my husband to my son Abe to his son Sean - can stay as calm as they do. I mean, take Abe, for example. He works full time as an electrical lineman. He plays banjo in a bluegrass group. He spends a lot of time with teenage Sean. And he's with his girlfriend, Robbie Jordan, as much as he can. We're delighted about that, of course. We adore Robbie, and love that she's both a chef and a carpenter. Abe just takes it all in stride.
We sure had some December fireworks when Abe and Robbie came over for dinner last year along with my husband's acquaintance, Jed, and his wife. I noticed some unpleasant undercurrents between those two, and I know Robbie did, as well. And then when our Christmas present to Sean arrived - a chocolate lab puppy named Cocoa - with his foster mom, well, I thought she and Jed were going to get into it, big time.
I'll let you read all about it in "Christmas Cocoa and a Corpse," the novella my author wrote. She's going to send a copy of Christmas Cocoa Murder to one US commenter. The bonus is the winner gets two other novellas along with hers!
Readers: Besides Robbie and Abe, who is your favorite cozy mystery couple?
