Get Into the Spirit

by Jazz Ramsey from Kylie Logan's mystery, "The Scent of Murder"

Time to get your ho-ho on and grab your ugly sweater!  What better way to celebrate the holidays than with Season's Readings!

Today, if you leave a comment (don't forget to include your email address), you'll have a chance to win a copy of "The Scent of Murder," book #1 in the series that features me and the cadaver dogs I train and handle.  You'll want to catch up on all the background before book #2, "The Secrets of Bones," is published in May.

Since I love dogs so much, let's make this giveaway pet-related.  In your comment, tell me what you're doing for your pet/s for the holidays.

I'll start . . . shhh . . . don't tell him, but Wally the Airedale, is getting a new Kong toy.  They're super tough, just like Wally.  He's sure to love it!

Good luck, and Happy Season's Readings!  I'll be choosing a winner on Saturday, December 7.

    1. Hearing from lots of people getting treats for their kitties. I've always had dogs, never a cat (husband is allergic). What kind of treats do they like?

    1. I've heard that chocolate is bad for dogs. Don't know if that's true. I did have a friend whose dog got into the chocolate that her kids were selling for a school fundraiser. The dog was fine...the chocolate, not so much.

    2. My dogs always ate a bit of chocolate without suffering any ill effects. Of course they also ate pizza, ice cream, and loved to get plain burgers at the local car hop places. When I said spoiled, I wasn't kidding lol.

  9. Since one of my 6 cats has to be on a special diet, no one else gets any treats anymore. They all love toys though, so I'll be getting some locally made catnip toys and I ordered a bed shaped like a Christmas tree! Their Grandma will get them something too.

  29. Snickerdoodle, our 15 year old chihuahua, loves Christmas. He hangs his own stocking which he will dive way down into on Christmas morning to check out what Santa Paws brought him since he's such a good boy. One of the first decorations to go up is his chihuahua display on the coffee table. There is a chihuahua tree with not only chihuahuas but also had hotdog garland, fire hydrant and food bowl ornaments and a bone star on top. In front is a chihuahua crew train. Then there are doggie themed items all around surrounded by garland and twinkling lights. I've posted a photo under the Facebook post.

Can't wait for the opportunity to read "The Scent of Murder". Thank you for the chance to win a copy!

  34. Our dog died last spring and since we are now in an apartment, we decided not to get another offer. Instead we have a new kitty. She is a calico, about 1-1/2 years old. She is a real sweetie. Of course, she will have a gift because we cannot open our gifts without her having one. I bought her tunnel with feathers and some cat treats
