More Biscuit Barks - and Another Giveaway

by Biscuit, Carrie Kennersly's dog in the Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries by Linda O. Johnston

Arf and woof.  Yep, hi, it's Biscuit yet again.  I barked here last month, too, and didn't mention the Season's Readings event going on here at Killer Characters, which meant I had no say in picking the winner.  Oh, it still went on fine without me, but guess what.  I've decided to extend Season's Readings one more day.

Well, okay, I had some human help in deciding that.  In any case, I'll be involved in giving away a copy of For a Good Paws, the fifth book in the Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries written by Linda O. Johnston mostly about my human, Carrie Kennersly, who for some reason keeps on solving murders of acquaintances, and what she does is memorialized in those books.

Anyhow, to repeat stuff I've said before, I'm a dog--what people call a poodle-terrier mix--and I supposedly belong to Carrie, though I think she belongs to me.

Carrie's a veterinary technician at the Knobcone Veterinary Clinic where she developed some delicious dog treats which she sells in one of her two shops: Barkery and Biscuits.  She sells people treats in her bakery next door, Icing on the Cake.  And she's one nice human.

And now, how do you enter the contest to receive the copy of For a Good Paws, which contains the solution of one of those murders? Just leave a comment here about how your holiday season is going--and how your pets are enjoying it.  You've got till midnight today to enter.  Then, I'll choose one of you to receive the book--or maybe I'll have Linda's dogs Mystie and Cari randomly pick the winner's name.

Anyway, good luck, and happy holidays!

Biscuit

  2. Other than some plumbing issues yesterday (had to call plumber) our holiday season is going well. Tree & decorations are up and presents purchased and shipped to daughters and families on West coast. Our cats have their stockings hung. They will get treats and toys. dbahn(at)iw(dot)net

    1. Uh-oh. Hope your plumbing is okay. You sound well prepared for the holidays. I'll bet your cats are more interested in treats and toys, though.

  8. Does having a hubby down with strep throat count as how the season is going? Granddaughter was diagnosed Saturday with it, and Daughter on Monday, then hubby yesterday. Our 5-yr-old great-grandson was sick the weekend before --- and all three of them had been here a couple times thru the week.
Last night was our Clergy Retiree Christmas party, which of course we missed. And Friday is my birthday and we have tickets to go see a theatrical production of A Christmas Carol. We will see how hubby is feeling, or if I have gotten sick.
Otherwise, our holiday season is going well. We had a nice Thanksgiving, our tree is up and mostly decorated, some shopping is done -- but not all. No wrapping yet. Think we have decided on menu for Christmas dinner.
    No pets to worry about.

    Merry Christmas!

  9. My cat loves "helping" with present wrapping and cooking/baking. She gets treats, toys, and likes playing with the wrapping paper and bows. Every year I take a picture of her next to my little crocheted Christmas tree.

  16. Preparations are going well, getting ready to travel away for Christmas this year, to see family that relocated this summer. Sadly, our 3 cats have to stay home, but our lovely young lady friend, who absolutely dotes on them will be house sitting them, so they don't suffer much. And I've promised to cook a turkey when we do get home, (a favorite meal for my husband as well as a couple of the felines)

  19. I finished shopping and started baking. Still have to wrap and finish baking. Then there's the package going to older son which might be late. My pup is ignoring the coming and goings but loves the holiday Snoopy I gave him to play with. Thanks for the chance.
