Beginning 2020 with a #Giveaway and a #Deal!

by Caro Lamont from Sparkle Abbey's Pampered Pet Mysteries

I love new beginnings! When I first moved to Laguna Beach from my native Texas that's what I was looking for - a new beginning. I'd been through some stuff. Haven't we all, right? Mine stuff included a very messy divorce and the end of my career as a therapist. And, well, all the fall out from both of those.

And though I love my family, it seemed like the right time to make a big change and begin to build something on my own. Laguna Beach was perfect for that. It's a gorgeous place to live and a very friendly community. But the thing that interested me the most was that the town is uber pet friendly. So it was the perfect place to launch my new business - PAWS.

I began my work as a pet therapist with just a few clients but it has grown and I love the work so much. I get a chance to work with problem pets. (Which almost always turns about to be less about the pet problem and more about the people problems.) And I get to live in this amazing community. Plus I've made a lot of friends in the community. There's former starlet, Diana Knight, who's as pet crazy as me. My wonderful office assistant Verde, and then, of course, there's Sam. Sigh. And I'd like to think Detective Judd Malone and I have become friends. How that all got started you can read about in DESPERATE HOUSEDOGS, which involved two adorable German Shepherds, some mysterious circumstances, a murder, and a ton of secrets.

So as I look to 2020 what I  think about when I'm making my list for the new year are how do I keep the things that are working for me and add to those. So, this year I'm not making resolutions that require giving up anything. I'm making plans to do more of what works!

How about you have you made any plans for the New Year? Leave a comment below. My authors are giving away your pick of any Sparkle Abbey book of your choice.

Also, if you have not yet read the series. The first book, DESPERATE HOUSEDOGS is currently a 99 cent deal in all ebook formats. So, here's your chance to find out more!

Sparkle Abbey is actually two people, Mary Lee Woods and Anita Carter, who write the national best-selling Pampered Pets cozy mystery series. They are friends as well as neighbors so they often get together and plot ways to commit murder. (But don't tell the neighbors.) They love to hear from readers and can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, their favorite social media sites. 1. No sewing talent here, but we love the idea of small quilts. Sometimes a small quilt is just the right size for little one or for a cozy read!

  16. I don't really make resolutions. I did in my younger years, but never kept them. So I no longer bother. I do hope to improve my health this year. We spent the 1st weekend of the new year moving & my body is so swollen & distended from the waist down from heart failure that I had to get in & out of our U-Haul using a stepladder! But we got moved! Thanks for the chance to win & may everyone have a much better 2020!
