Love is In the Air

by Rose Nash of Murder Ink, Lorraine Bartlett and Gayle Leeson

It's that time of year -Valentine's Day. That's fine and dandy if you have a special someone, but it kinda stinks if you're alone. All day long, the flower delivery people bring beautiful vases filled with long-stemmed red roses or stargazer lilies. And Sue Sweeney, who owns the candy store, has hired a couple of teens to deliver boxes of candy for her today.

I know it's not so, but it feels like everybody in the world is getting sweet goodies today except for me. Maybe I wouldn't be so blue on Valentine's Day if my late husband hadn't spoiled me every year. Sometimes he went in for flowers and candy, but he preferred giving me jewelry. Why, I've got two jewelry boxes filled to overflowing with beautiful trinkets.

You know what? I'm going to go home, put on my coziest pajamas and some of my favorite jewelry, and watch An Affair to Remember. I might even stop by Sue's and get a box of candy. Who can top chocolate and Cary Grant? What are you going to do this Valentine's Day?

Would you like to be entered to win these cute socks and an everyday essentials kit? If so, please head on over to Gayle's giveaway page!

Good luck and Happy Valentine's Day!
