LONG HOT SUMMER

I know some folks are still whining about snow and cold and such…but down here in Texas we're celebrating spring break and the long hot summer is just around the corner.

When summer comes, you can be sure it’s going to be very LONG and very HOT!

Don’t get me wrong; I’m not complaining. Summers are very good to me and my rental cottage business.

I enjoy having people from all walks of life and all parts of the country come to stay with us. Most of them never heard about the Bad Luck Cat legend, and that’s a good thing for my niece Sabrina and her cat, Hitchcock (who is not bad luck – some people just say that he is). Sabrina and Hitchcock live here in my Monte Carlo cottage while she’s busy writing her mystery novels.  Well, yes, she does spend quite a bit of time away from her laptop when there’s a murder case to solve –that’s a whole different topic.

Back to summer – there are some great songs of summer, like Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson and No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem by Kenny Chesney.  This summer in particular we’re dwelling on country music here in Lavender because a new, hot country star – Colt Jamison – is putting on a show. You can read more about him in The Black Cat Breaks a Mirror – coming soon.

What are your plans for this summer?  Any travel in your future?

  2. I'm sorry your plans might be nixed, Kay. I hope you find a wonderful alternative. This is one time I'm lucky that I love to stay at home.

Black cat was told as a kid to steer far away from black cats. But Hitchcock is a good luck kitty it seems. He and Sabrina are busy enough for us to be
Entertained reading all the books :-)
