Reading Blitz... 99 Cent Sale!

By: Jaymie Leighton Müller
Title: Cast Iron Alibi
Series: Vintage Kitchen Mysteries #9
Author: Victoria Hamilton
Website: Victoria Hamilton Mysteries

Okay, so right now - like many people - there is locally no school and no work; I have the kiddo home full time. Fortunately, Jocie - my step-daughter - is happy enough (though she misses her friends terribly!) to stay home since we have schoolwork, crafts, cooking, and a cat and dog to keep her busy, but also because... time at home means time to read!

I'm so happy to have a daughter with whom to share my love of books. I've always loved to read, mostly historical romance, but also some mystery, biographies, history, and memoirs. And though paper books will always have my heart, in this particular time ebooks are so awesomely handy! I was gifted a Kindle on my last birthday, and I take advantage of Bookbub, Ereader News Today, and other sites that offer daily deals for ebooks, from $2.99 right down to FREE!

But not all deals are offered there, so I also stay connected on Facebook and by newsletters with my favorite authors, so I can nab a deal on their books.

So, reading-wise, are you reading more right now? Are you reading different kinds of books... dystopian fiction, or science fiction, or is it escapist fare you're craving? Fantasy, romance... I've got Jocie reading fairy tales to see if she can sum up the lessons in them, if there is one, or what the fairy tale is saying. I want her to think about what she's reading, so I've asked her, is it a good lesson, or not a good lesson? You can be sneaky and teach a kid many ways... LOL... and I do want her to think critically about what she sees and hears and reads.

But now, tell me, please! What are you reading??

AND... for folks like me who love a book deal, where do you find ebook deals? Are you signed up with all of the sites?

  3. Presently I'm reading MURDER AT THE MILLION DOLLAR PIER by Gwen Mayo and Sarah E. Glenn and loving it.

I look everywhere for book bargains - recommendations and leads to a good deal from friends, referrals via Facebook and Twitter, emails from distributors like Amazon and Barnes & Noble, blog posts, and contests like this one.

Shared and hoping to be one of the fortunate ones selected. Thanks for the chance! <3

Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, wash your hands and know that we can do this.

I don't really do social media any more. I've been very ill & learned life is way too short to care what others think- or had for dinner.
I am on Bookbub & Goodreads. Follow authors on both sites as well as on Amazon.
Amazon has a daily list of free books by genre. I also get the free booksy email that sends you a daily free books list by genre. There's also Bargain Booksy, which is exactly as it sounds. Most books are only $.99.
