Half a Year Almost Gone

by Dr. Reed Storme, veterinarian at the Knobcone Heights Veterinary Clinic, featured in the Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries by Linda O. Johnston

Hi, everyone.  This is Dr. Reed Storme.  I asked Carrie if I could pop in today to post here since it's June, and 2020 is now nearly half over.

That's wonderful Carrie Kennersly.  She's the owner of two adjoining bakeries in Knobcone Heights, California--Barkery & Biscuits which sells the great, healthy dog treats she developed, and Icing on the Cake which sells people baked goods.  She also is owned by a cute golden toy poodle-terrier mix  named Biscuit.

And she and I are very close.

Of course I worry about her since her avocation, besides being a great veterinary technician who works with me, seems to be solving murders.

Fortunately, she hasn't gotten involved with that for some time now, and I'm glad.  It might be because people are staying farther away from each other these days, social distancing and all.

But their pets still need veterinary care sometimes, so I keep busy.  And both people and pets enjoy their treats, so Carrie keeps busy.

Last year, though, Carrie solved a murder that was described in a book called For A Good Paws.   And a year before that she helped to clear me from being a murder suspect, and that tale was told in the book Pick and Chews.

And now?  Well, I hope Carrie keeps social distancing sensibly, though selling treats in her shops.  Helping our clinic to care for pets needing vet services. And not staying too distant from me.
