Strange Tourist Season
Allie McMurphy from the Candy-coated Mystery Series by Nancy Coco.
June means the Fudgy season has started. We all know this year is a very odd year and people aren't planning vacations. But the lilacs are in bloom and the hiking trails and biking trails are all open. The best part about the state parks on the island, is that visitors can social distance and be outside.
We have had to change up a few things, to ensure we meet the Governor's safety mandates, so the stores that are open are ready to keep you safe. But that doesn't mean we don't still have the spirit of the season. The lilac's are blooming and the festivals are still on.
We are lucky that our carriages are all open to the fresh air. Biking and hiking are good for people, so we aren't hit as hard as some places. If you want to visit the island you can learn more about the precautions here: https://www.mackinacisland.org/travel-advisory/
As for the McMurphy, we are open and taking visitors. Who knows where our next adventure will lead. Do you have summer travel plans?
